Daya Samudra Solutions specialises in the reactivation of LNG carriers and other gas tonnage brought out of lay-up. Reactivating a gas ship is not the same job as reactivating a tanker: the cargo containment, the inert gas and nitrogen systems, the cargo machinery and the class and flag position all have to be brought back together, in the right order, with the evidence to support it.
We start with a full condition and class survey — containment system, cargo machinery, boilers or dual-fuel plant, inert gas and nitrogen generation, electrical and automation — and the outstanding survey and recommendation position. Only then do we write a programme, because a reactivation plan built on assumptions is how budgets and delivery dates fail.
Preservation removal, machinery recommissioning, tank drying and inerting, gassing-up and cooldown, class and flag surveys, crew familiarisation and sea trials — coordinated with the yard, the terminal and the class society so the vessel arrives at her first loading port ready to trade rather than ready to be argued about.
LNG and LPG carriers in particular, and conventional tonnage — tankers, bulk carriers, general cargo and offshore support vessels — brought out of hot or cold lay-up.
The containment system, the inert gas and nitrogen plant, and the cargo machinery all have to be recommissioned and proven together, and the class and flag position has to be recovered in step with them. The sequence matters as much as the work.
Yes — tank drying, inerting, gassing-up and cooldown, coordinated with the terminal and the gas supplier.
It depends on the lay-up type, how long she has been idle and the survey position. We give you a programme after the condition survey, not before it.
Yes. We survey the actual condition first and tell you plainly what state she is in and what the programme will cost.
Tell us what you are reactivating, chartering or supplying and we will come back with a straight answer on scope, timing and whether we are the right people for it.
